Lion’s Club Park (Gwinnett County baseball park):
Working on the below-slab plumbing for a concession building and a restroom building. My older brother (Konrad) worked with me during my 7 years at Legacy Mechanical.
Working on the above-slab rough-in:
Installing the grease trap:
This is the largest tractor that I’ve ever run. It was the only equipment available to borrow for some backfill work at the time.

Setting fixtures. I thought it was a little odd that one building had porcelain fixtures, while the other building had stainless steel fixtures.
Fiji Frat House (Georgia Tech fraternity house):
It was a new 3 story building. But I mostly only took pictures of the water heaters.
Nextran Truck Center:
Below slab plumbing:
Roughing in above slab:
This was the first time I’ve ever run across needing to set fiberglass showers against block walls. This required additional work and planning for installing the shower valves. And of course, as luck would have it, these were not real simple shower valves either. They had separate diverter valves and hand-held sprayers.
Installing the 2 oil separators and test manhole here. These separators wound up needing to get set pretty deep since the invert of the incoming drain was so low. The drain had to run the entire length of the building after starting out running beneath some interior footings, which put it pretty deep by the time it got to the oil interceptors. The holes had to be dug about 11 feet deep.
We used Megapress fittings for the gas pipe.
Other miscellaneous pictures of the building:
And these are the finished product:
Miscellaneous projects:
I did a quite a few of these remodeling type jobs during this period of time.
I was surprised to learn that there are commode carriers made that can fit into a 6″ wall.
